The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team hosted an Interstate 8 Conference match against Ottawa on Tuesday evening. Sophomore Kylie McCullough shined for the Lady Hubs, rolling a team-high 607 series as the Pirates defeated Rochelle 2,706-2,549. Junior Cassidy Vincent fired a 573 series for the Lady Hubs, who will face Morris on Wednesday.

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity bowling team hosted an Interstate 8 Conference match against Ottawa on Tuesday evening. Sophomore Kylie McCullough shined for the Lady Hubs, rolling a team-high 607 series as the Pirates defeated Rochelle 2,706-2,549. Junior Cassidy Vincent fired a 573 series for the Lady Hubs, who will face Morris on Wednesday.
Ottawa claimed the series lead early on, winning the first game 949-808 behind a 191 from Kihlah Figenbaum and a 180 from Dawn Hudkins. McCullough and Vincent each broke the 200 mark during the opening game, with McCullough shooting a 202 and Vincent scoring a series-best 205. Ottawa extended its lead with an 883-839 victory during the second game.
Rochelle avoided the conference sweep, taking the third and final game 902-874. McCullough spearheaded the charge with a series-best and team-best 221 in the final game, while Vincent rolled a 179 and senior Faith Adams contributed a 156. Vincent’s 189 and McCullough’s 184 were the high scores for the Lady Hubs (2-2, 1-2 Interstate 8) during the second game.
