ROCHELLE — Senior midfielder Makayla Lara scored late in the first half to help the Rochelle Lady Hub soccer team avoid a shutout during its Interstate 8 Conference varsity match against Kaneland on Monday evening.
Lara booted in a left-footed goal from long range during the final minutes of the opening half. It was the lone highlight for the Lady Hubs, who fell behind early and were unable to keep pace during their 10-1 loss to the Knights. Rochelle (6-10, 1-6 Interstate 8) will host Morris on Wednesday evening.
