ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Lady Hub varsity tennis team hosted Boylan Catholic for a nonconference home match on Monday evening. The Titans took both singles matches and swept all three doubles matches to hand the Lady Hubs a 5-0 loss. Rochelle (3-8, 1-2 Interstate 8) will return to action on Saturday, when the team hosted the Lady Hub Invitational at RTHS.

Seniors Yaretzi Villalobos and Kendyl Darby took the court in singles play on Monday, with Villalobos winning one game in a 1-6, 0-6 loss at the No. 1 court while Darby earned two games in a 1-6, 1-6 loss at the No. 2 court. Seniors Erin Murphy and Catherine Williams took their No. 1 doubles match against the Titans to three sets, falling just short in a 6-2, 4-6, 5-10 loss. 

Seniors Lauren Dyer and Abby Metzger played two close sets in their No. 2 doubles match on Monday, coming just short in a 5-7, 6-7(4) defeat. Seniors Natalie Wagner and Sydney Carmichael took four games in their 3-6, 1-6 loss at the No. 3 doubles court.
