Hansen’s Halloween haunts 2024 to benefit RACF

ROCHELLE – The Hansen’s Halloween House is set to host a spooktacular haunting for all ages! This family-friendly event will take place at 1021 4th Ave. from 5-8 p.m. on Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31. While the event is free, Karl and Dhana Hansen wanted to give back to their community. They are partnering with the Rochelle Area Community Foundation (RACF) to raise funds for the RACF Endowment Fund. This fund is the largest endowment at the foundation and provides grants to local nonprofits through the competitive Community Needs Grants process. A donation box will be onsite for those wishing to contribute.

This year, the display will feature a mashup of different Halloween scenes, blending the Hansen family’s love of Halloween with their passion for creating a fun and memorable experience for the community.

“Halloween has always been a special time for us,” said Karl and Dhana Hansen. “We love turning our yard into a place where families can come together, enjoy some spooky fun, and make lasting memories.”

As you make your way through the eerie path, challenge yourself to spot as many movie clues as possible. While the yard will only be open during trick-or-treat hours, guests are encouraged to view the display from the sidewalk or their cars beforehand, as new elements will be added nightly.

"As always, we thank you for your support and generous donations to the Rochelle Area Community Foundation. We hope to keep this tradition going for years to come,” the Hansens added.

“It is an honor to once again be the recipient of donations from Hansen’s Halloween House,” RACF Executive Director Emily Anaya said. “We appreciate the Hansen Family's creative approach to fundraising while offering a fun and spooky experience for all. It really highlights how much they — and many others — care about and support our Rochelle community.”
