STEWARD — Jan Donald Hueber, 63, of Steward, passed away Monday, Sept. 20 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. 

He was born Sept. 27, 1957 in DeKalb the son of Alan and Joyce (Quitno) Hueber. Jan married Debra Krahenbuhl on June 11, 1977 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Lee. 

Jan was co-owner and operator of Hueber Feed LLC and Great Plains Management Company. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Jan was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, riding motorcycles and showing livestock.   

He is survived by  his wife, Debra; three children, Matthew (Ashley) Hueber of Lee, Kristin (Sammy Parson) Hueber of Lee and Brent (Kyla) Hueber of Sycamore; his seven grandchildren, Blake, Payton, Braydon, Ivy, Foster, Reagan and Devyn; his siblings, twin, Jon (Jennie) Hueber of Steward; Daniel (Claudia) Hueber of Sycamore, Lynette (Kent) Niequist of St. Charles and Melodie (Betty Ann) of Roscoe; step-mother, Ruth Hueber; several nieces and nephews; colleagues and friends nationwide. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. 

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 19 Perry Rd., Lee, with the Rev. Martha Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Steward. 

Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Lee.
