ASHTON — June Charlotte Eich, 98, of Ashton, passed away on July 28, 2019. She was born to Adam and Mary (Sandrock) Pfeiffer on Sept. 7, 1920. She married Raymond Eich on Oct. 5, 1946 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ashton.
She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ashton. Throughout the years she was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved taking care of her family, cooking, gardening, dancing and quilting. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially the grandkids and great-grandkids.
June is survived by one son, Galen (Laurie) Eich of Troy Groy; three daughters, Glenda (Robert) Vivian of Amboy, Renee (Steve) Salisbury of Kewanee, and Nancy (Jim) Vogl of Oregon; sisters-in-laws, Guyla Pfieffer and Gladys Eich; as well as 10 grandchildren, Samantha Pickett (Bob Bertog) of Goshen, Indiana, Stephanie (Alfonzo Alvarado) of Oregon, Jennifer (Andy Swift) of Mt. Morris, David (Tina) Chapman of Rochelle, Brian of Bradenton, Florida, Adam (Anna) of South Beloit, Ashley (Kole) Loomis of Amboy, Jeremy (Ellen) of Troy Grove, Matthew (Nicole) Salisbury of Chicago, and Chad (Lisa) Salisbury of Kewanee; three step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nine step-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, Raymond; one son, Stanley Eich; three brothers, Glenn, Kenneth and Wayne Pfeiffer; and two sisters, Helen Bunger and Irene Lawson; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Home, 601 Richardson Avenue, Ashton. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 1 at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 803 Paddock Avenue, Ashton. Committal service will follow at Ashton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or Franklin Grove Fire Department.
