KINGS — The eighth grade promotion ceremony for the Kings School Class of 2019 was held May 24.
Several awards were given, including: Ava Lynn, Claudia Kanas Award; Ava Loeffelholz, Kings Foundation Citizenship Award; and Torrin Nantz, VFW Citizenship Award.
Academic honors were also awarded based on students’ overall GPA during 6th-8th grades. These included Shooting Star Recognition (4.0 GPA) to Ava Loeffelholz and Torrin Nantz; Promotion with Distinction recognition (3.8-4.0 GPA) to Ava Lynn, Ava Loeffelholz, Brandon Moody, Torrin Nantz, and Josey Weber; and Promotion with Honors recognition (3.5-3.7 GPA) to Matthew Dewey. These six students also received the Presidential Education Award.
