MALTA — Kishwaukee College’s Community Education department is offering a virtual Personal Finance workshop on June 16 at 6 p.m. via Zoom.
Participants will learn how to develop a personal finance plan. Licensed financial advisor, Carl Mook, will facilitate the workshop. Mook will give an overview of the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

Mook founded Carl Mook Financial Group in 1988. The company teaches financial independence to individuals, families and small businesses. They are located in Sycamore with satellite locations in Rockford, Freeport and Janesville.
The Personal Finance workshop will explain how the CARES and SECURE Acts can help provide financial assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will be empowered to make the right financial decisions for themselves.
The virtual workshop will be presented live and participants will receive a recording. Cost of attendance is $10.
