Linda Lee Kelly Bergeron passed away on a beautiful October day knowing that she was loved.
Linda has gone home to be together again with her husband Lynn Bergeron, her family that preceded her, and all of her animals that she adored so much.
Linda is survived by her children Thomas Victor Bergeron, and Kelly Bergeron Thompson (Jerry Thompson), and her cherished grandchildren Dixie and Beau Thompson, and Paige, Mary and Charlie Bergeron. Linda is also survived by the memories within everyone that knew her.
Linda was born February 29, 1940 in Rochelle Illinois, she spent her childhood enjoying riding her horse Mischief on the farm with her dad, making May Baskets for her friends and neighbors, and sledding down “Kelly” hill in the winter. She loved telling stories about these memories.
Linda and her parents moved to San Francisco in her teenage years where she attended Mercy High School, followed by the University of the Pacific, always acquiring friends along the way.
When we think of Linda, it's hard not to think of her outstanding sense of humor, and her uncanny wit. Linda was an artistic genius, and her humor always shined through in her art.
Our mother was dedicated to her life of fundraising, a true philanthropist. She was devoted to planning and making the best parties happen for any event. It was a true joy to her.
Linda was very passionate about the church she found a family in, Holy Trinity, and loved to do fundraising.
Linda never met an animal she didn’t love. Especially her pugs! Her animals brought her endless happiness.
Our mom had a determination that is unmatched. If there was someone she wanted to meet, or something she wanted to do there was no stopping her.
Linda was full of grace and kindness, she was a true lady with a hint of her country roots. She was one of a kind. God broke the mold with Linda, she will be missed incredibly, and remembered lovingly.
Our mother, grandmother (Nannee), and our friend Linda fought a very difficult battle with Alzhiemers. It is an unforgiving disease, and through her battle Linda maintained her humor and sense of wit. This is where she won the battle. She was a remarkable woman, and an inspiration.
Linda will rest peacefully with her husband, parents, and family of the past in Rochelle, Illinois.
Our mother would have loved that in lieu of flowers, that donations could be made in her honor to the wonderful organization Hospice by the Bay, and all the angels that volunteer there. Or to the Marin Humane Society, as she loved all animals dearly.
