STEWARD — Lloyd H. A. Bialas, 88, passed away peacefully Monday, November 4, 2024 at his home in Steward, Illinois. Lloyd was born on August 21, 1936 to William P. and Louise R. (Kretschimer) Bialas in Corsica, South Dakota. On August 18, 1957, he married Linda Lou Hood in Mendota, IL.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Luna, 531 S. 7th St., Rochelle. Cremation care has been provided by the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle.
Lloyd was a lifelong farmer, who thoroughly enjoyed his work. He loved the time he spent hunting, fishing and boating. He cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Rochelle for many years.
In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his two brothers: Herb and Gene Bialas and nephew, David Bialas.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 67 years, Linda Bialas of Steward; three children: Steve (Diana) Bialas of Rochelle, IL, Mark (Gwen) Bialas of Ashton, IL and Geina Parks of Mendota, IL; sister, Darlene (Bob) Johnson of Steward; sister-in-law, Joyce Bialas of Rochelle; six grandchildren: Steve “TJ” (Melody) Bialas, Travis (Aleigha) Bialas both of Rochelle, Marcus (Jen) Bialas of Poway, CA, Anthonie (Allison) Bialas of Columbia Heights, MN, JoEllyn (Josh) Sarver of Mendota, IL and Alex Parks of West Brooklyn, IL; 11 great grandchildren: Sabrina (Adam) Greenwell, Alexis (Zachary) Prosser, Mackenzie Bialas, Aubree, Norahlee, and Alivia Bialas, Mack Bialas, Jett Bialas, Boston Bialas, Emerson Bialas, Magnolia Bailas and five great great-grandchildren: Dallas, Gavin, Oaklynn and Keaton Greenwell and Magnolia Prosser.
