ROCHELLE — A free summer kids’ event called Roar VBS will be hosted at First General Baptist Church from June 10 to June 14.
At Roar, kids discover that God is good even when life gets wild. Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Wild Bible Adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with the Safari Celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.
Kids at Roar VBS will join a missions effort to provide nutrition packets and health checkups for moms and babies in need in Zambia, Africa.
Family members and friends are encouraged to join on Sunday, June 16 for the conclusion of VBS and a special time to worship Jesus at 11:15 a.m.
ROAR is for kids from kindergarten to fifth grade and will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. each day. For more information or to pre-register, visit www.fgbcrochelle.org or call 815-562-5221.
