Man arrested for driving under the influence

On May 29 at 6:33 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3000 block of S. Lowell Park Road for a traffic violation. After an investigation, Joseph Geesey, 55, of Mt. Morris, was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Geesey was transported to the Rochelle Police Department and was released on a $3,000 I-Bond.
May 30
On May 30  at 1:26 p.m., the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Lynn-Scott-Rock Fire Department, and the Lynn-Scott-Rock Ambulance responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries in the 12,000 block E. Route 72. A silver Ford Taurus was traveling westbound on Illinois Route 72 when it crossed over the center line striking the driver’s side of a brown Chevrolet Silverado traveling eastbound. Both vehicles came to a stop in the south side ditch. The driver of the Ford Taurus, Michael D. Lord, 60, of Stillman Valley, was transported to Kishwaukee Community Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, Dewey D. Barnes, 68, of Kirkland, refused medical treatment at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
On May 30 at 4:55 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a damage to property call on High Road, Stillman Valley. After a further investigation, Zackary D. Huff, 33, of Davis Junction, was located at 118 Azalea Avenue, Davis Junction. Huff was charged with three counts of felony criminal damage to property, criminal damage to state supported property, aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting arrest. Huff was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
On May 30 at approximately 9:48 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance call in Leaf River. Upon arrival, deputies learned the offender has left the residence. Shortly after, the offender was spotted and the deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 400 block of East Third Street in Leaf River. After a brief investigation deputies placed Ronald J. Reittinger, 37, of Leaf River, under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and disorderly conduct. Reittinger was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
June 1
On June 1, Ogle County Sheriff deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at 3920 N. East Line Road in Monroe Center. The investigation by Ogle County Sheriff deputies led to the arrest of Richard D’Onofrio, 61, for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct. D’Onofrio was held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.
On June 1 at approximately 1:20 a.m., the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office responded to a rural address on West Henry Road, in regard to an unwanted subject. Upon arrival, Robert A. Romero, 35, homeless, was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was taken to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
