ASHTON — Marvin McKnight, 87, of Ashton, passed away after a short illness on June 16. Marvin is survived by his wife, Joan McKnight (Jodie) and Andrea Hamer, who was like a daughter to the McKnights, many beloved nieces and nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. Marvin and Jodie were married on June 2, 1952 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, brother, son, Michael, and grandson, Marc.
Marvin was involved in the automotive sales and service business in Ashton for many years. He was a gentle man that was able to make many of his customers his personal friends. He cherished his family and received their love in return. Marvin enjoyed following the Green Bay Packers as well as some of the outdoor sports. His love of cars also made him a great Nascar fan.
Final services will be privately held by the family.
