ROCHELLE — Mary Ann Baker, 92, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the Rochelle Community Hospital in Rochelle, Illinois.  Mary Ann was born on September 21, 1932 to Ira and Ann (MiMi) (Heckman) Hufford in Dixon, IL.  On October 1, 1950, she married Wayne W. Baker at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rochelle.  He preceded her in death on January 14, 2014.

Mary Ann enjoyed gardening, camping and traveling to Canada and Alaska.  Spending time with her grandchildren was always special to her.

Mary Ann is survived by two sons: Gary (Lori) Baker of Machesney Park and Dave (Maggie) Baker of Rochelle; 13 grandchildren: Michael (Marie) Baker, Paul (Katrina) Mcloud, John (Susan) Baker, Chris Mcloud, Molly Baker, Doug (Megan) Baker, Mandy (Travis) Huckabee, Leann (Andy) DeWitt, Rachel Huff, Courtney (Dave) Tapscott, Chris (Heather) Baker, Brittany Catron, and Jacob Baker; sister, Kay Bender; 28 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and special friends: Ed Catron, Pam Baker, Lori Catron, and Jody Willis. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Wayne, she was predeceased by her son, Rick Baker; daughter, Judy Finnestad and brother, Charles Hufford.

The visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 16, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1415 N. 10th Ave., Rochelle.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M., Monday with Pastor Michael Wolff officiating.  Burial is at Trinity Memory Gardens, Rochelle.  Memorials may be made to The Frieda Pickreign/Jane Reineck Scholarship Fund at St. Paul Lutheran Church.  Visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
