ROCHELLE — Mary Lou Henry, 92, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Manor Court in Rochelle, Illinois. Mary Lou was born on September 13, 1931, the daughter of John C. and Rosa G. (Brauer) Stein in Lee County, IL.
Mary Lou was a 1949 graduate of Ashton High School. On December 26, 1955, she married Paul Jerome Henry in Rochelle. They were married for 59 years until his passing in 2015.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, a life member of the VFW Auxiliary and a member of the Rochelle Moose Lodge. Prior to retirement, Mary Lou was employed as a secretary for the Del Monte Corp.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, on May 30, 2015; her brother, Robert Stein and four sisters: Rogene Schade, Pauline O’Brien, Lois Binz and Shirley Young.
Mary Lou is survived by her two daughters: Debra (Scott) Sprague of Streamwood, IL and Denise (Rick) Budde of New Berlin, WI; three grandchildren: Lauren, Zachary (Morgan) and Alexis Sprague; sister, Joyce (Don) Gilbert of Kingwood, TX and brother, Duane (Linda) Stein of Rochelle, IL.
The visitation will be from 9:00 - 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 20, 2024 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 236 Kelley Drive, Rochelle. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 A.M., Saturday with Father Jesus Dominguez officiating. Burial is at St. Patrick Cemetery in Rochelle. Visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
