CRESTON — Creston Booster Days is rapidly approaching. As part of the annual community celebration, nominations are being accepted for the annual Theodore Cederholm Community Service Award. Any resident of the Creston area is eligible.
This year Creston Booster Days occurs Sept. 14, 15 and 16.
The selection committee is looking for individuals who have contributed of their time and worked for the betterment of the greater Creston area.
The individual may have held public office. They may have worked on projects in the Creston area. They may be local businessmen. The prime consideration is their contribution to community service.
Cederholm
Ted Cederholm served his friends and neighbors as Mayor of the village for 27 years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, he was a Mason, and was a founding member of the Creston Booster Club. The award was established by his family and the Creston Booster Club the year after his death in 1981 and has been presented at Booster Days for 35 years.
