UNION GROVE, Wisconsin — Norman Ray Overbey, 84, formerly of Rochelle, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2020 at the Wisconsin Veterans’ Home in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
Norman was born on June 26, 1936 to Arthur R. and Virginia B. (Kittle) Overbey in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He proudly served with the United States Army from 1959 to 1961.
In his earlier years, he worked for Del Monte and then followed for 20 years with the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier. Following that, he worked for another 20 years as a barber in Roscoe before retiring.
Norman is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
There will be a private graveside service at Lawnridge Cemetery with Pastor Rob Hamilton officiating with military honors provided by the Eastern Lee-Ogle Honor Guard.
