Northern Rehab delivers donated items to SUMC coat ministry

SYCAMORE — Northern Rehab Physical Therapy Specialists held their annual community collection of winter coats and accessories for the Sycamore United Methodist Church (SUMC) Coat Ministry.

Several large donations of coats, boots, scarves, hats and mittens (estimated over 150 items) were recently delivered by Northern Rehab’s Ken Olson and Melissa Payne Wagner.

“Part of Northern Rehab’s mission is to support organizations and programs that contribute to the well-being and needs of the community we serve,” Olson the Northern Rehab president and physical therapist, said. “We enjoy organizing this coat drive every year and are happy to do our part to help keep those in need in our community warm each winter. We’re thankful to our community for their generous donations to this cause.”

The SUMC Coat Ministry is open every Monday from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. during food pantry hours at the church located at 160 Johnson Ave. in Sycamore.
