Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: April 1-3, 2025

On April 1 at 6:34 p.m. deputies were dispatched to an address in the 500 block of East 3rd Street in Leaf River for a reported domestic. After an investigation, Justin C. Craycraft, 33, of Huntley was arrested for domestic battery. Craycraft was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held pending a court appearance in front of a judge.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: April 1-3, 2025

OREGON — On April 1 at 6:34 p.m. deputies were dispatched to an address in the 500 block of East 3rd Street in Leaf River for a reported domestic. After an investigation, Justin C. Craycraft, 33, of Huntley was arrested for domestic battery. Craycraft was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held pending a court appearance in front of a judge.

On April 1 at approximately 9 p.m. deputies along with Mt. Morris Fire/EMS responded to the 1,200 block of North Ridge Road for a single-vehicle rollover crash. After further investigation, it was determined that a black Mercedes-Benz sedan being driven by Abdelhalim Khoga, 37, of Oregon, was traveling southbound and failed to negotiate the curve, entering the west ditch of the roadway and striking a ditch embankment and metal culvert, becoming airborne and overturning colliding with a fence and telephone pole. Khoga was transported to OSF St. Katherine in Dixon for his injuries. Khoga was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Khoga was also issued citations for failure to reduce speed, improper lane usage and no insurance. Khoga was released on a notice to appear with a future court date.

On April 2 at approximately 10:16 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Illinois Route 38 and Interstate 39. After an investigation, deputies arrested Alfonso Perez, 31, of Rochelle, for driving while his license was revoked and an active warrant out of Ogle County. Perez was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where he is being held pending his court date for the outstanding warrant. Perez was given a notice to appear for his citation for driving while his license revoked.

On April 2 at approximately 5:14 p.m. deputies responded to an address in the 4,000 block of South Prairie Road in reference to a disturbance.  After an investigation, Mark Wright, 59, of Chana, was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. Wright was released on a notice to appear bond.  All subjects are presumed innocent.

On April 3 at approximately 1:05 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1,200 block of West Blackhawk Drive, Byron. After an investigation, deputies placed Jose Hernandez-Hernandez, 24, of Rock Island, under arrest for no valid license. Hernandez was transported to the Ogle County Jail and released on a notice to appear with a future court date.

On April 3 at approximately 3:58 p.m. deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of North Illinois Route 251 and Rolling Meadows Road. After an investigation it was determined that a blue Ford Focus being driven by Brenda Obil Quiala, 48, of Davis Junction, was southbound on North Illinois Route 251 and failed to yield the right of way to a black Ford Focus traveling northbound on North Illinois Route 251. The blue Ford Focus turned eastbound in front of the black Ford Focus. The black Ford was driven by Thomas Kennedy, 27, of Loves Park. Obil Quiala was transported to Rochelle Community Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident by Lynn-Scott-Rock EMS. Obil Quiala's juvenile passenger was uninjured. Kennedy was treated for minor injuries on scene and refused further treatment.  

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
