Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: April 11-14, 2025

On April 11 at approximately 6 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of North McKendrie and East 1st Street in Mt. Morris. After investigation, deputies placed Jeffery Parsons, 52, of Dixon, under arrest on a Rockford PD warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Parsons was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he is being held pending an appearance before a judge.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: April 11-14, 2025

OREGON — On April 11 at approximately 6 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of North McKendrie and East 1st Street in Mt. Morris. After investigation, deputies placed Jeffery Parsons, 52, of Dixon, under arrest on a Rockford PD warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Parsons was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he is being held pending an appearance before a judge.

On April 12 at approximately 2:03 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Webster Street and 3rd Street in Oregon. After an investigation, deputies placed Jean Bennett, 51, of Dixon, under arrest on a Lee County warrant for failure to appear. Bennett was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where she is being held in lieu of bond.

On April 12 at approximately 7:04 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 39 at mile marker 111. After an investigation, deputies arrested David Smith, 46, of Rochelle, for driving while his license was revoked and speeding. Smith was transported to the Ogle County Jail. At the jail, Smith was processed and released on a notice to appear bond for his citations.

On April 12 at approximately 2:51 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2,000 block of South Illinois Route 2. After an investigation, deputies placed Shannon Adams, 47, of Rochelle, under arrest on an Ogle County warrant for a traffic offense and a Whiteside County warrant for obstructing justice. Adams was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond. 

On April 13 at approximately 7:03 p.m. deputies responded to the 100 block of River Road, Hillcrest for a disturbance. After a brief investigation, Caitlin L. Holt, 28, of Hillcrest, was arrested for battery. Holt was released on a notice to appear with a future court date.

On April 14 at 3:20 p.m. the Ogle County Sheriff's Office and Monroe Center Fire/EMS responded to a two-vehicle-accident at the intersection of Illinois Route 72 and North Mulford Road in Monroe Center.  Upon arrival, deputies found that a car driven by Veronica Rodriguez, 32, of Melrose Park was traveling southbound on North Mulford Road and did not stop for the stop sign before entering onto Illinois Route 72.  An eastbound vehicle struck Rodriguez's vehicle on the passenger side.  Rodriguez was cited for disobeying a stop sign and given a future court date.

On April 14 at approximately 7:35 p.m. deputies responded to the 16,000 block of West Milledgeville Road, Polo, in reference to a single-vehicle noninjury accident. After an investigation, Nathan T.J. Hudson, 33, of Polo, was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. Hudson was also cited for improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC greater than .08. Hudson was transported to the Ogle County Jail before being released on a notice to appear. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Polo Fire and EMS and the Polo Police Department.

On April 14 at approximately 7:47 p.m. deputies responded to the 100 block of West Orchard Hills Drive in Rochelle for reports of a domestic disturbance. After an investigation, Deputies located a vehicle at the intersection of East Flagg Road and South Center Road involved in the incident, and arrested Nathan M. Laws, 26, of Rochelle, for aggravated domestic battery. Laws was additionally cited for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol (blood or breath over .08). Laws was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was detained pending an appearance before a judge.

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
