On Aug. 18 at 5:32 p.m. deputies along with the Rochelle and Flagg Center Fire Departments responded to a two vehicle crash with injuries at Flagg Road and Beebe Drive. Investigation by deputies revealed that a Chevrolet SUV driven by Katie Harper, 33, of Rochelle had stopped on Flagg Road behind another vehicle which was turning left onto Beebe Drive. At that time a Toyota Camry driven by a 16-year-old female failed to see the stopped vehicles and as a result ran into the rear of the Chevrolet. The 16-year-old was transported by Rochelle Fire Ambulance to Rochelle Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The 16-year-old was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed.
