OREGON — On Dec. 10 at approximately 12:32 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Illinois Route 251 and Hillcrest Avenue.  After investigation, deputies placed Alfonso Thomas, 44, of Rockford, under arrest for driving while license revoked.  Thomas was additionally issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle. Thomas was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released on a notice to appear and given a future court date.

On Dec. 10 at 2:41 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1,000 block of East Flagg Road. As a result, deputies arrested Andrew C. Gonzales, 22, of Dixon for driving while license revoked. Gonzales was additionally issued citations for expired registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Gonzales was transported to the Ogle County Jail and released with a notice to appear.

On Dec. 10 at approximately 3:38 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 12,000 block of North Kennedy Hill Road.  After investigation, deputies placed Jennifer Montantes, 42, of Amboy under arrest for a Lee County contempt of court warrant.  Montantes was transported to the Ogle County Jail, where she was held in lieu of bond.  

On Dec. 10 at approximately 6:53 p.m. deputies conducted a motorist assist on a white Chevy Silverado in the area of Illinois Route 38 and Beck Road. After further investigation, deputies arrested Marisol Lopez, 41, Rochelle, for driving while license suspended. Lopez was released on a notice to appear.

On Dec. 11 at approximately 1:03 p.m. deputies responded to the intersection of South Lowell Park Road and West Edgewood Road for a three-vehicle accident with injuries. After a brief investigation, deputies discovered that Kenneth M. Diaz, 54, of Oregon, was traveling northbound in a white Nissan Rogue, when he failed to reduce speed and struck the rear of a UPS truck driven by Rusty L. Surdez, 48, of Rock Falls. The rear of Diaz's vehicle traveled into the southbound lane and collided with a black Jeep driven by Kristen L. Kaufman, 34, of Mt. Morris. Diaz was transported by the Polo Fire Department to KSB Hospital for suspected minor injuries. Diaz was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed. Polo Police also assisted with the accident.

On Dec. 12 at approximately 6:44 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on Illinois Route 251 near Mowers Road, outside of Rochelle. After an investigation, Earl A. Tipton Jr., 65, of Rockford, was placed under arrest for driving while his license was revoked. Tipton was also cited for loud muffler. Tipton was transported to the Ogle County Jail before being released on a notice to appear. 

On Dec. 12 at 8:44 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop at Illinois Route 38 and Dement Road. After a brief investigation, deputies arrested Antonio Hughes, 28, of Malta, for driving while license suspended. Hughes was released with a notice to appear. Hughes was also issued a citation for expired registration.

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
