On Feb. 8 at 3:10 p.m. deputies responded to the 10,000 block of North Kennedy Hill Road for a two-vehicle crash. Initial investigation showed that a 2013 Dodge Dart operated by Larry Boes, 74, of Byron collided with a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Diana Snodgrass, 60, of Byron. Both individuals were transported to local hospitals for serious injuries. Deputies were assisted by Byron Fire, Stillman Fire and React Helicopter. The crash remains under investigation.

On Feb. 9 at 5:39 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7,000 block of North Illinois Route 251 for a speeding violation. After an investigation, Janeth Morales, 18, of Rockford was arrested for no valid driver’s license. Morales was also cited for speeding. Morales was released on a signature I-Bond with a return court date.
On Feb. 11 at 12:27 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the area of 13000 W. Coffman Road to the report of a car in the ditch. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that a 2003 Ford Focus operated by Vuk Durisic, 28, of Chicago had slid into the ditch. Durisic was issued a citation for no valid drivers license and released on an I-Bond.
