On Jan. 7 at 2:11 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of 5,000 North German Church Road. After a brief investigation, the driver, Douglas Keeling, 49, of Loves Park, was arrested for driving while license revoked. Keeling was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was processed and released on a notice to appear. Keeling was also cited for no splash guards.

Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: Jan. 7-9, 2025

OREGON — On Jan. 7 at 2:11 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of 5,000 North German Church Road. After a brief investigation, the driver, Douglas Keeling, 49, of Loves Park, was arrested for driving while license revoked. Keeling was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was processed and released on a notice to appear. Keeling was also cited for no splash guards.

On Jan. 9 at approximately 11:36 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7,000 block of North Illinois Route 2. After investigation, deputies placed Tyrone Long, 47, of Dixon under arrest for driving while license suspended. Long was further issued citations for operating an uninsured vehicle and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration. Long was released on a notice to appear at the scene and given a future court date.  The passenger in the vehicle, Nayiesha Edwards, 25, of Rochelle, was also placed under arrest for an active Lee County contempt of court warrant.  Edwards was transported to the Ogle County jail where she was held in lieu of bond.

On Jan. 9 at approximately 3:13 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Illinois Route 251 and Edson Road. After investigation, deputies placed Cartez Tate, 24, of Rockford under arrest for driving while license revoked. Tate was further issued a citation for speeding 21-25 miles per hour over the posted speed limit. Tate was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was later released on a notice to appear and given a future court date.

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
