Ogle County Sheriff’s Report: March 14-17, 2025

On March 14 at about 6:41 p.m. deputies with the assistance of the Byron Police Department, responded to an address in the 10,000 block of North Kennedy Hill Road for an attempted break in. After an investigation, deputies arrested Torrin Alanis, 20, of Poplar Grove; Kassidy Clark, 19, of Rockford; Olivia Fells, 19, of Poplar Grove; Ashton Pierce, 18, of Poplar Grove; and Caleb McKie, 23, of Clarksville, Tennessee for burglary. Alanis, Clark, Fells, and Pierce were transported to the Ogle County Jail and released with a notice to appear. McKie was additionally charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia. McKie was held pending an appear before a judge.

OREGON — On March 14 at about 6:41 p.m. deputies with the assistance of the Byron Police Department, responded to an address in the 10,000 block of North Kennedy Hill Road for an attempted break in. After an investigation, deputies arrested Torrin Alanis, 20, of Poplar Grove; Kassidy Clark, 19, of Rockford; Olivia Fells, 19, of Poplar Grove; Ashton Pierce, 18, of Poplar Grove; and Caleb McKie, 23, of Clarksville, Tennessee for burglary. Alanis, Clark, Fells, and Pierce were transported to the Ogle County Jail and released with a notice to appear. McKie was additionally charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia. McKie was held pending an appear before a judge.

On March 15 at approximately 9:10 a.m. deputies responded to 333 Erickson Road in Hillcrest in reference to a check welfare. After investigation, Priscilla Withrow, 33, of Rochelle, was arrested on an Ogle County warrant for aggravated battery to a police officer. Withrow was later transported to the Ogle County Jail, where she is being held pending an appearance in front of a judge. All suspects are presumed innocent.  Rochelle Police and Rochelle EMS/Fire assisted with the incident.  

On March 16 at approximately 10:17 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of South Lowell Park Road and West Judson Road. After an investigation, Deputies placed Bobby Joe Loyde, 55, of Moline, under arrest for driving while license revoked. Loyde was additionally cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper display of registration. Loyde was transported to the Ogle County Jail and released on a notice to appear with a return court date.

On March 17 at 2 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of North Illinois Route 2 and North Kathryn Road. After a brief investigation, Thomas Gibson, 82, of Byron, was arrested for driving while license suspended. Gibson was released on a notice to appear court date.

On March 17 at 10:50 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of North Illinois Route 251 and Mowers Road. After a brief investigation, Benjamin Shabani, 29, of Rockford, was arrested for driving while license suspended.  Shabani was released on a notice to appear with a future court date.

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
