OREGON — On March 18 at 7:06 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 13,000 block of East Illinois Route 64. After an investigation, Justin E. Johnson, 34, of Dixon was arrested for driving while license suspended, and an active Lee County warrant for failure to appear. Johnson was also issued citations for operating and uninsured motor vehicle, and no front registration. Johnson was released on a notice to appear with a return court date for the warrant, and driving while license suspended.

On March 19 at approximately 12:36 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop to the entrance of the Orchard Hills Landfill in the 8,000 block of North Illinois Route 251. After investigation, deputies placed Efrain Garcia-Ortega, 32, of Davis Junction under arrest for no valid license, obstructing identification, and four active Boone County warrants.  Garcia-Ortega was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released on a notice to appear on the Ogle County charges and held in lieu of bond on the Boone County warrants.

On March 20 at approximately 7:08 a.m. deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 6,700 block of South Lowell Park Road.  After investigation, deputies learned a gray Ford F-150, driven by Sean Cline, 26, of Dixon, was traveling northbound on Lowell Park Road when Cline lost control of his vehicle on the icy road and traveled into the southbound lane. Cline then struck a black Volkswagen van, driven by David Dahl, 69, of Polo, which was traveling southbound on Lowell Park Road.  Dixon Rural EMS and Polo EMS transported two minor juveniles that were in the van to OSF Saint Katharine Hospital for minor injuries. Cline was issued a citation for too fast for conditions. Polo Police Department assisted with the accident.

On March 20 at 8:26 p.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop on North Kennedy Hill Road at the intersection with East Short Road. As a result, deputies arrested Tara R. Moorman, 40, of Roscoe for driving while license revoked. Moorman was additionally issued citations for no front registration, and operating an uninsured vehicle. Moorman was transported to the Ogle County Jail and released on a notice to appear bond with a future court date. Deputies were assisted by the Byron Police Department.

On March 20 at approximately 9:42 p.m. deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 8,000 block of North Pecatonica Road.  After further investigation Travis Tryggestad, 36, of Leaf River, was placed under arrest for driving while license suspended. Tryggestad was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and suspended registration. Tryggestad was released on a notice to appear bond.

All individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty.
