ROCHELLE — The Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District held its monthly board meeting Monday evening at Rochelle City Hall. The meeting included a public hearing for the sale of $1.1 million in general obligation bonds for continued maintenance and improvements at park district facilities around the area.
The park board approved a series of small measures Monday including its $7,500 municipal advisory agreement with Raymond James and personnel policy changes for employees. Executive Director Jackee Ohlinger said the park district is looking at design proposals for inside the new community center at Helms South, and Ohlinger said the park district is currently negotiating potential partnerships for the community center.
Work continues on the community center, and the project remains on schedule for completion around Labor Day 2020.
