Petition packets for election candidates available Sept. 3

OREGON — Ogle County Clerk Laura J. Cook announces that candidate petition packets for the upcoming general primary election on March 17, 2020 will be available Sept. 3 on the Ogle County website and in the county clerk’s office.
County offices to be nominated are county board, circuit clerk, coroner, State’s Attorney and county board members (8). The election of precinct committeepeople will also be on the ballot.
Candidates may begin circulating their petitions on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Filing of petitions

Candidates must file their petitions between Nov. 25 and Dec. 2 at the Ogle County Clerk’s office at the courthouse in Oregon. Office hours for filing will be:
Nov. 25 through Nov. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Nov. 28 and Nov. 29 the office will be closed
Dec. 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Petition packets may be accessed on the county’s website at www.oglecounty.org. Click on “County Clerk” under departments, then “Forms.” Next select “Candidate Petition Packets.” The necessary forms and information is available to print.
