ROCHELLE — Members & friends of the Rochelle Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, VFW Ladies' Auxiliary and employees of Tyson Foods planted petunias at the Rochelle Veterans' War Memorial where the bronze statue was dedicated as part of the Memorial Day ceremonies.
The flowers were donated by local veteran Glenn Eldridge. In addition, 22 new brick requests that were submitted prior to May 1 have been engraved at the War Memorial, bringing the total number of engraved bricks to 830.
