ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Township High School Education Foundation is putting the finishing touches on its chili cook-off fundraiser set for Saturday, Oct. 19.
The event will be held at Salt 251 and begins at 6 p.m. with the competitive chili-tasting event. “Celebrity” chefs will serve chili to attendees who will sample and vote for their favorite chili.
Chefs include RHTS principal Chris Lewis, Rochelle Mayor John Bearrows, RTHS parent Watsana Thiravong and Rochelle firefighter Curt Helgren.
Tickets are $20 and are available at RTHS, Salinas Chiropractic and at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/chili-the-vodka-boys-tickets-73902709995.
The Vodka Boys will entertain from 8 to 11 p.m.
Raffle prizes will also be awarded all night long. Raffle tickets are $5 or six for $20.
The RTHS Education Foundation has awarded more than $160,000 in classroom grants since 2005.
