ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Community Hospital Foundation will host the 13th Annual “Hospital Hustle” 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, June 1 at 8 a.m.
New route
This family fun event will start at a new location this year — the start/finish line will be located by the Health & Wellness Center parking lot (Seocnd Street and Eighth Avenue). The walk/run will start at the Health and Wellness Center and follow the park district’s bike path from the Little League fields to the Illinois Route 251 bridge and back for a total of 3.1 miles.
Online registration is now available and open until May 31. To register online and for more race details, log onto the hospital’s website at www.rochellehospital.com/hustle. Entry fees are $25 for pre-registration up to May 31 or $30 the day of the race. Youth age 18 and under have a discounted registration fee of $15. Participants registered by May 27 will be guaranteed a t-shirt. Event t-shirts may be available after May 27 but supplies may be limited.

Awards will be presented to top overall male/female finishers, top three team winners and the first three male/female finishers in various age divisions ranging from youth to age 70 and the fastest team.
Chip timing will be offered by J3 Timing. Chips will be located on the tear-off tags of the bib you receive. This chip timing provides more accurate results and placing for a better race experience. J3Timing will also provide finish line photos on-line.
Area businesses are invited to partner with the foundation for this event. Contact Michelle LaPage, RCH Community and Organizational Development Manager, at 815-561-3110 or e-mail mlapage@rcha.net to learn about the variety of sponsorship opportunities available.
The race is not only a great fundraiser for the RCH Foundation but also a wonderful community builder.  The goal includes developing good community relationships while promoting healthy lifestyle choices and encouraging participation in an active, challenging event.
