OTTAWA – Wednesday, Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) announced the winner of the 2020 Congressional Art Competition for the 16th District of Illinois.
This year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, students were able to submit their art entries digitally as well as in person at the office. The deadline for this year’s competition was also extended to accommodate the extended stay-at-home orders across the State of Illinois. Despite these hurdles, the Office of Congressman Kinzinger received over 20 entries of artwork.
“I’m pleased to announce this year’s winner is Marlen Hueramo of Rochelle Township High School,” Kinzinger said. “Her artwork titled ‘El Loro’ was created with colored pencils and ink, and the quality was bold and impressive.”
