ROCHELLE – Rochelle Municipal Utilities (RMU) is proud to announce that its recent inspection by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) resulted in no deficiencies, highlighting the utility’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence and environmental stewardship.
The comprehensive inspection, conducted by IEPA officials, reviewed RMU’s compliance with state and federal water quality regulations, operational procedures, and environmental safety standards. The assessment confirmed that RMU’s water treatment and distribution systems meet or exceed all required guidelines, ensuring safe and reliable service to the community.
“We are thrilled to receive a perfect score on our IEPA inspection,” City Manager Jeff Fiegenschuh said. “This result is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team, who consistently prioritize the health and safety of our residents by maintaining the highest standards of water quality and system reliability.”
