ROCHELLE — Sharon (Olmstead) Sorrentino,79, of Rochelle, passed away on Nov. 3, 2020 in Dixon at Dixon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. Sharon was born in Chicago on Dec. 21, 1940. She graduated from Rochelle Township High School and continued on to receive a LPN Degree from Kishwaukee Community College.
Sharon worked as an LPN for Kishwaukee Community Hospital for 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with family, knitting, sewing, collecting baby dolls, cooking, shopping on QVC and making fudge for her family on the holidays.
Sharon is survived by daughter Tiffany Glenn (Tami Young), son Kipton Minor (Melynda), grandchildren Brittany Pelka, Cory Glenn, Zachary Minor (Lindsay), Chris Glenn, Allison Gilroy (Tyler); great grandchildren, Rylie Eaton, Kahli Minor, Jaxon Minor, Avery Gilroy, Thomas Gilroy, sister Judy Primrose; nephews Drew Primrose (Christy), Ken Listak. nieces Shelley Lawson (Greg Hopkins), Susan VerSchave, Shawn Schabacker (Marvin), Colleen Esterday (Steve).
Sharon is preceded in death by parents William (Bill) and Eileen Olmstead, sister Jan Listak, brother Brian Olmstead, brother-in-law Bill Primrose.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Bobby Jones Chiari & Syringomyelia Foundation, 29 Crest Loop, Staten Island, NY, 10312.
No services will be held per Sharon’s request.
