GENESEO — Despite trailing by only four runs entering the fourth inning, the Rochelle varsity softball team was unable to hold onto the rope when the Lady Hubs faced Geneseo for the second time this season.
The Maple Leafs continued where they left off during their first encounter with Rochelle, winning 15-0 on Tuesday and finishing the season outscoring the Lady Hubs 25-0. Rochelle (2-15) suffered its eighth consecutive loss.
Senior Maddi O’Rorke led the offense with two singles, while junior Hannah Luxton and freshman Hayleigh Jones each singled in the loss. Freshman Jordin Dickey drew one walk.
