DIXON — On March 3, Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Sterling man wanted on an outstanding Ogle County warrant.
At 2:23 a.m. on March 3, following a short foot chase from the Road Ranger at 1801 S. Galena Avenue in Dixon, officers arrested Christopher Cornell, 33, of Sterling. When taken into custody, Cornell was in possession of 256 grams of cocaine.
Cornell is charged with unlawful possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance (Class X Felony), unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Class 1 Felony) and obstructing justice (Class 4 Felony).
Cornell was taken to the Lee County Jail and is being held on a $250,000/10 percent bond.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Dixon Police Department.
