Travel group enjoys recent trip

Posted

CRESTON — Dorothy’s Diamonds recently made a trip, during Holy Week, to the Creation Museum in Cincinnati and to the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Kentucky. The group enjoyed seeing the ingenuity in building the Ark and what it was like to have life support for 40 days during the big flood.
At this time a donation from the trip was made to purchase eight new military flags for the Woodlawn Cemetery veteran’s memorial and Pastor Al Roose’s GoFundMe account to aid in his medical recovery.

Dorothy’s Diamonds has two trips left for 2019. The first is in June to Mount Rushmore, the Badlands and Black Hills of South Dakota.
In September, Dorothy’s Diamonds will be traveling to Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick, including Anne of Green Gables home.
Proceeds from trips are given back to the community through various donations.
For further information on the remaining two trips, call 815-384-5325.
