OREGON — The Village of Progress held its Annual Awards Banquet on Oct. 9 at St. Mary’s Leaning Center, Oregon. It celebrates the accomplishments of those who attend the Village and the many volunteers who donate their time and talent. The following 2024 awards were presented:
Robert Stouffer Special Recognition – Byron Public Library.
Rick Hahn Business of the Year – Rockford IceHogs.
John Herrmann Distinguished Improvement – Richard “JR” Dunseth.
Robert Moehle Personal Achievement – Kim Weber.
Fred Smith Competitive Employment – Chris Martinez.
Jane Etnyre Volunteer of the Year – Dave Gesin.
Robert Stahl Friendship Award – Deanna Gregory.
Carly Heller Special Olympian of the Year – Sylvia King.
Coach Cookie Warren Memorial Award – Austin Henry.
It was a great evening that spotlighted our Ogle County men and women with developmental disabilities. Thank you to everyone that attended. Your support is valued and appreciated.
