ROCHELLE — Effective immediately, Rochelle Community Hospital has announced new restrictions.
Please do not come to RCH unless you are seeking medical care. These actions are being taken to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients, staff and our community.
Inpatient Visitors are restricted to:
Parents of a minor child
End-of-life Hospice care
Power of Attorney to make medical decisions
Inpatient Visitors should:

Check in at Patient Access (3rd Street Entrance) before visiting inpatients to verify the purpose of the visit
Always remain in patient room as appropriate
Limit movement within the hospital and avoid common areas
Be free from illness such as (fever, sore throat, cough, diarrhea, vomiting, or runny nose)
These restrictions also include:
Cancellation of all RCH events at the hospital, including support groups.
The cafeteria will be closed to the general public until further notice.
The Gift Shoppe will be closed until further notice.
The Fitness Center will be closed until further notice with the exception of Cardiac Rehab and Pulmonary Rehab.
Visitor restrictions are temporary and subject to change as necessary.
All caregivers are required to wash hands with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand foam/gel upon entering and exiting the patient’s room. We understand these visitor restrictions may be difficult for you. While we are committed to providing a family-centered care environment, right now restricting visitors is in the best interest of our patients, employees and community.
Social distancing actions are taken to restrict when and where people can gather to stop or slow the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) or other infectious diseases in communities. Social distancing actions include limiting large groups of people coming together, closing buildings or canceling events.
