Woman arrested for domestic battery

On Feb. 11 Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mary Elmore, 37, of Rochelle, for domestic battery. Elmore was held at the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.
On Feb. 12 at 9:23 a.m., the Ogle County Sheriff’s feputies, Polo Police Department, Polo Fire Department and the Polo Ambulance responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Cavanuagh Road at Illinois Route 26. A grey Toyota Avalon driven by Einar S. Dahl, 90, of Prospect Heights, was southbound on Cavanaugh Road at Illinois Route 26 when the vehicle left the right side of the road. The Toyota then crossed back over the roadway striking an embankment causing the Toyota to rollover in the field. Dahl was transported to KSB Hospital with minor injuries by the Polo Ambulance.
On Feb. 12 at 9:13 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Illinois Route 64 and Mongan Drive for a one vehicle crash. After a short investigation, deputies arrested Larry Barnes, 30, of Oregon, for DUI and unlawful possession of cannabis improper container. Barnes also received citations for no insurance, improper lane use and no valid driver’s license. Barnes was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released on an I-bond and will appear in court on March 20 at 9 a.m.
Feb. 13
On Feb. 13 at 9:43 p.m., deputies, along with Byron Fire, responded to the 10000 block of Illinois Route 2 for a one vehicle crash. After a short investigation, deputies arrested Michael O’brien, 21, of Rockford, for driving while under the influence of alcohol. O’brien was also cited for improper lane use, driving on the shoulder, unlawful transportation of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. O’brien was transported to a Rockford hospital for minor injuries.
