Woman arrested for driving while license suspended

On Sept. 6, Elizabeth Romero, 32, of Joliet, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for driving while license suspended. Romero has a bond of $5,000/10 percent and will appear in court on Sept. 9 at 1 p.m.
On Sept. 6, Michael Ramsey, 28, of Oregon, was arrested on 2 outstanding Ogle County warrants for failure to appear ($3,251.68 full cash) and forgery ($2,000/10 percent). Ramsey appeared in court and was released on a recognizance bond for both charges. Ramsey will go to court on Sept. 30 at 9 a.m.
On Sept. 6, at approximately 8:50 p.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle hit and run accident at the intersection of East Illinois Route 64 and Illinois Route 251. Deputies were advised the offending vehicle traveled southbound on Illinois Route 251 where Rochelle Officers located and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at 1120 North 7th Street in Rochelle. After an investigation, deputies arrested Nathan Schmidt, 27, of Rochelle, for driving under the influence of alcohol. Schmidt was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to stop at an Intersection. Schmidt was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
On Sept. 7, at 9:46 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of 12600 North Baileyville Road for a driving complaint. After an investigation Ralph McCormick, 35, of Baileyville, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. McCormick was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
