LOUISVILLE — Rochelle's Elias and Nehemiah Andronic combined to win four titles during the 2025 USA Wrestling Central Regional Championships in Louisville, Kentucky from May 17-18. The brothers were two of multiple area athletes competing in the freestyle and greco-roman wrestling events.
Elias Andronic wrestled in the 8U 62 Division and went 3-0 for first place in the freestyle competition. Elias scored a 14-0 technical fall over George Kellerman before posting a 10-0 technical fall over Mason Horman and a 15-2 technical fall over AJ Puckett to clinch the regional championship.
Elias also went 3-0 for first place in the greco-roman competition. Elias opened with an 8-0 technical fall over Cayson Brummett and a 9-0 technical fall over Mason Horman before upsetting top seed AJ Puckett via 16-8 technical fall to claim the championship.
Nehemiah Andronic wrestled in the 10U 84 Division and went 2-0 for first in the freestyle competition, notching a 10-0 technical fall over Beau Coleman and a fall over Kai Chilcote to clinch the regional championship. Nehemiah also went 2-0 for first in the greco-roman competition, earning an 8-0 technical fall over Kai Chilcote and a 9-0 technical fall over Declan Potempa to seal the championship.
