The Rochelle Hub varsity wrestling team faced Oregon and Fulton in a triangular nonconference meet Saturday afternoon. The Hubs defeated Fulton 48-30 and fell 48-33 against Oregon to move to 13-2 on the season. Rochelle will return to the mats with a three-team nonconference meet against Lena-Winslow and Sterling on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Hub varsity wrestling team faced Oregon and Fulton in a triangular nonconference meet Saturday afternoon. The Hubs defeated Fulton 48-30 and fell 48-33 against Oregon to move to 13-2 on the season. Rochelle will return to the mats with a three-team nonconference meet against Lena-Winslow and Sterling on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Fulton

Four wrestlers received forfeit wins against Fulton including freshmen Riley Damask (106 pounds), Tommy Tourdot (113 pounds), senior Ivan Pineda (120 pounds) and sophomore Wesley Brown (138 pounds). Sophomore Weldon Nay recorded a second-period pin to win the 132-pound bout and senior Grant Thompson notched a third-period pin at 145 pounds. Seniors Ben Harvey and Noah Messer pinned their opponents to win the 195 and 220-pound matches.

Oregon

Riley Damask received a forfeit at 106 pounds and Tommy Tourdot dominated the 113-pound matchup against Caleb Wolford, recording a 33-second pin. Ivan Pineda took a forfeit at 120 pounds before Oregon pinned to win the 126, 132 and 138-pound bouts to even the match. The Hawks received an injury default at 145 pounds as well as forfeits at 152 and 160 pounds.

After Oregon pinned to win the 160-pound bout, freshman Leo Stoffel outlasted 170-pounder Collin Winterland with a 20-19 decision for the Hubs. Ben Harvey and Noah Messer received forfeits at 195 and 220 pounds before the Hawks recorded a 30-second pin at 285 pounds.
