The Rochelle Wrestling Club sent 19 athletes to the 2025 Sycamore Good Guys Tournament at Sycamore High School on Sunday. Rochelle landed 10 individual champions as well as four runner-up finishers and three third-place finishers on the day.

SYCAMORE — The Rochelle Wrestling Club sent 19 athletes to the 2025 Sycamore Good Guys Tournament at Sycamore High School on Sunday. Rochelle landed 10 individual champions as well as four runner-up finishers and three third-place finishers on the day.

Amos Andronic finished first in the Tots 501 Division with a 2-1 record, earning falls over DeKalb Wrestling Club’s Joe Faivre and Rockets Wrestling Club’s Parker Collings. Eoghan Good finished first in the Bantam 104 Division with a 3-0 record, scoring a 16-0 technical fall against Cogs Wrestling Club’s Waylon Everson before notching back-to-back falls against Sycamore Wrestling Club’s Myles Byrne and Sandwich Wrestling Club’s Brady Gomez.

Cooper Harris finished first in the Bantam 704 Division with a 3-0 record, stringing together a 20-5 technical fall over Sauk Valley’s Sutter Trueblood as well as a 21-6 technical fall over Mat Rat’s Sam Vicario and a 20-5 technical fall over Rockford’s Sebastian House. Elias Andronic finished first in the Bantam 305 Division with a 3-0 record, securing a 21-5 technical fall over Woodstock Cyclones Wrestling’s Finn Montayne as well as a 22-5 technical fall over Rockets Wrestling Club’s Jackson Tuminaro and a fall over Sauk Valley’s Elias Gonzalez.

Wells Millard finished first in the Intermediate 307 Division with a 3-0 record, notching three straight falls against Belvidere’s Thorin Anderson, Hononegah Wrestling’s Brodin Severson and Harvard Wrestling’s Kasen Book. Grant Cole finished first in the Intermediate 908 Division with a 3-0 record, earning a 22-6 technical fall against Harvard Wrestling’s Mason Schultz as well as back-to-back falls over Rockets Wrestling’s Jacob Sittman and Sauk Valley’s Hunter Shirley.

Nehemiah Andronic finished first in the Intermediate 410 Division with a 3-0 record, locking down a fall over Belvidere Bandits wrestler Conrad Barber as well as a 10-1 major decision over Dakota Wrestling Club’s Zander Graika and a 21-1 technical fall over Rockets Wrestling Club’s Landon Lind. Teddy Millard finished first in the Novice 1010 Division with a 3-0 record, earning falls over ISI Wrestling Club’s Kelianna Larkin and Mat Rat Wrestling’s Thomas Guerra in between a 25-6 technical fall against Rockets Wrestling Club’s Noah Spickerman.

Dominic Escatel finished first in the Novice 811 Division with a 3-0 record, notching falls against Hononegah’s Jaxon Dwyer and Sauk Valley’s Carson Alton in between a 19-3 technical fall over Sycamore WC’s Ryan Lind. Benjamin Morris finished first in the Senior 115 Division with a 3-0 record, compiling three consecutive falls against Mat Rat Wrestling’s Emmett Stanley, Rockets Wrestling Club’s Connor Lind and Belvidere Bandits wrestler Hayden Holdcroft.

Ty Johnson took second in the Tots 701 Division with a 2-1 record, earning back-to-back falls over Woodstock’s Patrizio Aranda and Crystal Lake’s Holden Hastings. Garrett Miller took second in the Novice 1012 Division with a 1-1 record, securing a first-round fall over LaSalle-Peru’s Aiden Urbanc. Montana Contreras took second in the Senior 1014 Division with a 1-1 record, locking down a second-round fall over LaSalle-Peru’s Audriana Plut.

Xander Gonzales took second in the Intermediate 410 Division with a 2-1 record, earning consecutive falls over Harvard’s Faelynn McDevitt and Sycamore Wrestling’s Jeremiah Bradley. Easton Huff placed third in the Bantam 706 Division with a 1-2 record, scoring a third-round fall over Mat Rat’s Jackson Dulceak. Gavin Smith placed third in the Novice 112 Division with a 1-2 record, bringing home a 13-2 major decision against Harvard Wrestling’s Harper Brugger.

Joshua Hernandez placed third in the Senior 1013 Division with a 1-2 record, scoring a 17-2 technical fall over Sycamore’s Hunter Garriott. Fourth-place finishers included Mason Johnson (Intermediate 108) and Matthew Johnson Jr. (Novice 912).
