ROCHELLE — Barbara Ann Orlikowski, 66, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2020 at the Rochelle Community Hospital. She was born on Aug. 28, 1954 in DeKalb, the daughter of Chester E. and Maryrita (Hart) Olson. She married Joseph A. Orlikowski on June 23, 1973 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rochelle.

Barb worked in the accounting department for the City of Rochelle, retiring after 25 years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law, Arthur Rogers.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Joe, of Rochelle; two children, Stephanie (Ernesto) Orlikowski-Claros of Atlanta, Georgia, and Chad (Janna) Orlikowski of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; six grandchildren, Makaila Crump, Alexandra Claros, Joseph Claros, Grace Orlikowski, Eli Orlikowski and Ada Orlikowski; brother, Chester “Chet” (Kathryn) Olson of Rochelle; and sister, Sandra Rogers of Bloomfield, Kentucky.

A private family funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. The service will be live streamed on the Unger Horner Facebook page for you to virtually attend her funeral.

Following services, Barbara will be cremated and then interred at the St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.
