CHANA — Betty Jean Hawley, 77, of Chana, passed away Aug. 21, 2018 at home.
She was born July 15, 1941 in Ludington, Mich., to Donald and Rosella Young. She graduated from Ravenna Michigan H.S. in 1959. She married John Hawley on March 11, 1961. She always had a love for gardening where she spent lots of time with her flowers. Her deep love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was always very evident and was always ready to share it with everyone. Today, she is enjoying being in the very presence of Jesus in Heaven. Her whole family will miss her so very much.
Betty is survived by her spouse, John Hawley; four children, Tammy (Steve) Crook of Amboy, Tina (Brian) Morgan of Wisconsin, Teri (Mario) Ujcic of Mount Morris, and John (Ariel) Hawley of Florida; one brother, David of Grand Haven, Mich.; as well as 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Patricia and Mariland; and two brothers, Donald and Dennis.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25 at Ashton Bible Church, 702 Main St., Ashton. Visitation will be held prior from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Ashton Cemetery.
