ROCKFORD — Billy F. Fry Jr., 54, of Rockford, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2018.
He was born Oct. 25, 1963, in Malden, Missouri, the son of Billy F. Fry Sr. and Martha (Gould) Fry.
Billy met his partner, Steve Fox, and they have been together for 36 years. Billy was a wonderful man who was always there to lend a helping hand. He kept a great home and enjoyed gardening, reading and keeping up on current affairs. Billy loved to travel especially to the beach or the mountains. He also liked a good cocktail and cigarette. Billy will forever be remembered as a loving son, partner, brother, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his parents, Billy and Martha Fry; partner, Steve Fox; sisters, Donna Lynn (Danny) Trout and Tallie Lakay (Bob) Wenzel; mother-in-law, Ida Mae Fox; sister-in-law, Pam (Mike) Westerman; brother-in-law, Rob (Vicki) Fox and numerous nieces and nephews; many dear friends and his beloved Chloe.
He was predeceased by his grandparents and brother, Teddy Ray Fry. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at SwedishAmerican Hospital for the excellent care they gave Billy and his family.
Cremation rights have been accorded with Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, Mulford Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a cause to be determined at a later date.
