DIXON — Dorothy Rogene Blomberg, 89, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at her son’s home in Dixon with her family at her side.
She was born on June 20, 1928 in Rochelle to Martin and Anna (Rhoades) Thompson. Rogene married Donald D. Blomberg on Jan. 16, 1947 and he preceded her on August 21, 2000.
Rogene and Don Blomberg worked many years together at Blomberg Motors.
Rogene is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her son, Barry (Donna) Blomberg of Dixon; two daughters, Linda (Mike) Pottinger of Rochelle, Cindy (Terry) Mace of St. James, Minn.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28 at the Unger Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. Sixth St., Rochelle, with Rev. Rob Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday prior to the service from 9 to 10 a.m. Committal will be at Lawnridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon.
