SYCAMORE — Harold E. Hammond, 67, of Sycamore, died Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.
He was born Dec. 11, 1950, in Rochelle, the son of Earl and Esther (McClain) Hammond.
Harold was employed by Opportunity House for 25 years. He loved NASCAR, WWF, all Chicago sports teams, John Wayne movies and classic cars.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters including, Larry (Mary) Hammond of Rochelle; several nieces and nephews; and many friends at Opportunity House.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 23, at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb, with Rev. Janet Hunt of First Lutheran Church in DeKalb officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle.
