DENVER, Colo. — James “Jim” D. Orner, 81, of Denver, Colo., passed away Feb. 10, 2017.
Jim was born Nov. 21, 1934 to Edwin J. and Mary L. (Davis) Orner in Rochelle. He was a 1952 Rochelle Township High School graduate and a graduate of the University of Colorado.
Jim was an accountant for Ernst & Young. He enjoyed skiing and trout fishing in the Colorado mountains.
His mother and father preceded him in death.
Jim is survived by his longtime girlfriend and companion, Judy Gardner of Denver, Colo.; his brother, John A. Orner and sister-in-law Ann K. (Thomas) Orner of Dousman, Wis.; his nephews, John T. Orner and Thomas E. Orner, both of Dousman, Wis., and Peter J. Orner of Carpentersville; and many cousins.
Burial will take place at Lawnridge Cemetery in Rochelle at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Flagg Township Historical Society in Jim’s name.
